While you are downloading, check out the site!

F-Prot
Just
click below and get it. I don't have to type the update for F-Prot.
Instructions are right here also. If you need to only install the Macro
and Sign Definitions (Fp-def), just get them. Look at the dates to
determine which to get.
This Version update fp316f release (Final Release - Phasing out)
Macro and Definitions files UPDATED 30 April 2008
1.
You are now downloading the file.
2. Save the file and watch what directory it is going to.
Customers I have built
systems for it will go into E:\Downloads, unless you have changed
it, then your
on your own to find them.
3. After download is completed, go to windows explorer. Go to the
directory the
file saved in. Right click on "fprot.zip" and select
"Extract to". Click on "I Agree".
If just getting the
update then click "FP-Def.zip".
4. Double click on C: - Double Click on Utility or Util - Double
Click on Fprot.
(NOTE: This is the directory that I have FProt installed in the
computers that I
built up. Otherwise find a place for it.)
5. Make sure that in the lower left there is a checkmark in the
box "Overwrite
Existing files". Click on Extract.
6. Now go and check for a virus and hopefully you do not have one.
7. It is best to run this in DOS mode. To do this, restart
windows. Just before
it says starting windows 95, press F8. If using windows 98,
press CTRL. At the
menu select MS Dos Prompt Only. When you get to the C prompt type
F-PROT.
If you get a bad filename or command type this:
CD UTIL\FPROT and press your "Enter" key.
You will now have on your screen, C:\UTIL\FPROT
At this point type F-PROT.
Sorry,
you cannot run F-Prot with WindowsME. There is no DOS at startup.
Let it scan and if you get a RED SCREEN, stop and let me know
ASAP.
If you get or see corrupt file or anything of that nature, please
ignore these. These
files are exe or com files that are extensions for the main EXE
file that only it will
understand. DO NOT TRY TO OPEN THESE FILES. I had two Customers
that
did to see what they were I guess and one got lucky and nothing
happened, but
another found themselves in the middle of a formatting hard drive
when clicked
on the file to check it.
I
hope that this was easy for you to get the update! ![]()
